Toluene is clear, colorless flammable liquid with a sweet, pungent odor.

Uses of toluene
Toluene is used to manufacture:
a) Lubricants and greases
b) Anti-freeze products
c) Biocides
d) Non-metal-surface treatment products
e) Inks and tones
f) Leather treatment products
g) Polishes and waxes
h) Textile treatment products and dyes
fuels
i) Adhesives and sealants
j) It is also a by-product of the process of making coke from coal.

Toluene has been used in the past as a treatment for hookworms and roundworms.
