JACOBI ACTIVATED CARBON

ACTIVATED CARBON also known as Activated Charcoal is a high porous form of carbon with large surface area. Its created by heating carbon-rich materials such as wood, peat, coconut shell or saw dust to high temperatures in the presence of an oxidizing gas or an activating agent like steam. This whole process removes impurities and activates the carbon by creating small pores and extensive surface area. Due to its adsorption properties it makes it excellent for removing impurities and contaminants from gases and liquid.
Common Uses Of Jacobi Activated Carbon
a) CHEMICAL PROCESSING- used in chemical industry to purify and separate chemicals, remove impurities and recover solvents in various processes.
Also used in pharmaceutical industry manufacturing in removing color and impurities from medications.
b) GOLD RECOVERY- its used in carbon-in-pulp and carbon-in-leach processes to adsorb gold from cynide solutions facilitating gold recovery.it can be used for multiple repeated use.
c)AIR AND GAS PURIFICATION- its used in purifing of air in industrial processes.
